FSCMMM: prelims are over, the bracket is complete and OMFG it's Samantha Carter vs Dean Winchester right out of the gate and this is gonna KILL ME. I just know it.

The reason for my optimism is that I'm pretty sure that Scully will have her own fans, and then that pretty much the entire anti!Dean contingency can get behind voting for her. Because she doesn't have a large group of detractors that I know of - at least not ones that wouldn't be voting for Dean anyway.

I'm actually not as big on Eric's chances as you are. His show isn't that popular (being seasonal and on pay cable), it's been ages since season 2 ended, he was awesome for most of season 2, true, but he was hardly in season 1. Had it been Alexander Skarsgård going up against Jensen Ackles I actually think he'd have a better chance...or maybe not? Those Jensen fangirls are pretty insane.

Well, I [used to, at least] know where the big bad Scully detractors live, but since it's not here on LJ, she's safe. Ugh, XF fandom. I do not miss you at all.

The thing about Eric is that if just one of the massive Askars hounds [like, say, ontd_askars] get into the game, then they do have the power to take him to the freaking finals. So far they haven't picked up on anything, but I'm afraid it's just a matter of time. Mind you, I do hope they stay away.

I'm pinning all my hopes on Sheldon overtaking Barney this year. Or at least, all my comedy bracket hopes. I am only a casual TBBT viewer, but I am for any and all campaigns on this front! At the very least I plan on finding a BAZINGA gif and just posting it any time anyone tries to talk about Barney still being awesome. :p

Yeah, I'm looking at the Drama bracket, and there's no one there who can take Sheldon. And a Buffy vs Sheldon final would be AWESOME.

And isn't the site fantastic? I'm actually a bit worried we might take the poor guy's server down, but IT'S FOR A GOOD CAUSE. *g*
