Like him or not, Trent Reznor changed music.
The same can and will be said for Perry Ferrel and Jane's Addiction.

I happen to love them both. Trent Reznor changed me through his music. I was classically trained on the piano. Keyboards were funny to me - and though I liked electronic music from a young age ( a la Adam and the Ants and Aha, thank you ( Read more... )

There are tears in my eyes and anticipation of this show. OMG!!!!!!! As a kid in LA a grew up with Jane's Addiction and was lucky enough to have seen them several times at small venues. I saw NIN play at Helter Skelter before PHM was released. I had no idea who they were but that night I was blown away. PHM is still in my top 10 albums of all time list.

I know. It sucks. I listened to NIN all day today in the office...and sure, none of it is as good as the old stuff - but it is still viable.
Alas. Considering the lyrics that I was listening to today - it truly was only a matter of time.
