Stockholm Symptoms ...?

Baroness was outstanding last night. Giese and I actually bumped into John Baizley who was wandering the bar scene. Concert goers were already taking photographs with him using their phones, and I could tell that he was going to be walking towards us at any moment. Built up all my strength and stopped him with a motion from my hand saying, "Hey ( Read more... )

Twas twas!

I've been meaning to ask you: have you ever seen Kylesa live in concert before? I only ask because right now Kylesa is at their pinnacle with the whole Spiral Shadow album. Plus I've seen some of the footage of their live presence and I am HIGHLY impressed. Thoughts?

I most certainly have; it was a few years ago at the Bowery Ballroom. They shared the bill with classic Anarcho-punk legends The Amebix. They had two drummers at the time (don't know if that's changed, haven't been keeping up) and HO-LY FUCK. Just the bass alone was enough to shake the walls. The pit was INSANE too. @_@

In less words, yes, they are awesome live. XD

Oh man. They do still have the two drummers. Corey Barhorst (bassist/vocalist) is no longer with the band which is a game changer ... hopefully they'll continue writing more music. Otherwise Spiral Shadow is a fucking brilliant way to end a band's career. Definitely a one of a kind band! I would love to see them at least once before they sell out (which I doubt they'll even do.)

I totally agree. Although I am more drawn towards the realistic horrors- it's fun to see what weird posts go up when the mods go to sleep.

Pewdie has definitely grown on me this entire year. Although I will admit that I have a more esteem hatred toward "slow moving fans" than I do barrels. Unless we're talking about the barrels from Donkey Kong, then I'm right up there!
Why thanks! You never know what the future will bring in that regard.
