Yes, what is it about London off licences? Here in Brum I can get a very good selection of bottled ales from any one of three nearby offies - my nearest shop of any kind is an offie specialising in Scotch whisky but also with a good range of beers. But in Kingston the local shops had no decent bottled beers and Oddbins at Surbiton Station has closed down -- it never had much of a range anyhow. Is the area so wine-dependent that beer doesn't get a look in?
We've just got back and I realise that I missed "Mitch Benn is the 37th Beatle" off my list of shows seen. Did you hear the bagpipes playing the Star Wars theme? Although that was on Princes Street, so maybe not.
