Personally I belive that any language would sound better than english in that musical. But my opinion is not to good for I only like the instrumental songs from that show.

Carlotta is supposed to sound annoying. If her voice was pleasant then the woman fails as Carlotta. Butler was cast as the Phantom for looks mostly, but his voice isn't bad by any strectch. Emmy Rossum did just fine, and they cast Raoul as a Tenor, not a Baritone.

All the actors had ALW's approval, so they must have done something right. I mean, he only wrote the show.

I wasn't saying "OHMYGOSHPHANTOMISSOGOSHDARNAWFUL!!!" I love that movie.

I was just stating a personal opinion. I like the way the French people sound better.

Yeah, the french language is nice sounding.

Don't think I could listen to Phantom in German though, to guttural. It would be interesting though.
