[end of time spam 3 - accidental video.]

[You see the Doctor, lying bruised, cut, and generally looking a bit maltreated on the floor in an empty room of a very posh, expensive looking mansion. There’s broken glass all around him, and it’s clear there’s been a few cowboys in here. But oddly, the Doctor is smiling giddily. He’s breathless, like he’s just heard some amazingly joyful news.]

[It's the sound of disbelief that comes to the feed's mic, Tidus' voice hitching in his throat as he watches the Doctor willingly go to his death to save another man. It's one that's a mixture of confusion and anger, of frustration and impatience, and of fear and awe to see someone so selfless.

And when that's over, what comes next is a scream. A scream of loss, a scream of sorrow, a scream of grief. Losing someone he knows is always hard for him, but to lose those he calls friends and family is like taking a piece of him and tearing it in two.

For what is lost can never be replaced. A hard lesson he has come to know, and hates any time he is reminded of it. The feed ends as he shuts it off in order to get in control of the turmoil of emotions swirling in his head.]

Because even though he knows that they'll meet again, if meeting the next reincarnation, however briefly, is any clue, the fact of the matter is that he still is losing a friend. He hasn't been able to talk to the next Doctor enough to really gauge what he's like, and as much as the previous incarnation was important to his life, that was the incarnation that left him for dead on a satellite in the year 200,100 so he wasn't exactly fond of him either. But this one.

So much had happened with this one, so many things. They'd spent a year together under the Master's psychopathic eye, the Year that Never Was. They'd saved the planet together once more after that. This Doctor had insulted ( ... )
