DW hates me more than LJ so sorry to be a pain but i will comment here.
new girls? where did they come from?
as for the boys, i know nothing about boys so this will be based on what i have seen with girls. but sometmes when i intro 2 groups and put them in a new cage, they will bicker between themselves so even the girls that have been living together before will quarrel. its like in a new environment or group they have to make sure they are still in charge of the rats they were in charge of before.
i really hope your new boys settle down, they are very lucky to be living with you :D
Re girls, since they're my territory - the tale of the girls is over on my DW: http://rat.dreamwidth.org/234590.html (you will have to log in to read it :P) | Pic here: http://twitpic.com/xc7su (which you won't have to log in for) - they're lovely for ref, we've won 'em over :)
The new boys seem to have settled down with each other now.. a few "normal" scuffles overnight, but no more bloodletting. So I think you're quite right - they were reestablishing their chain of command or something.
Now for the long haul of getting them slowly used to us .. good thing I'm not a haemophiliac. ;)
Akuma and Ryu. Akuma's the evil one. Ryu's the friendly one (although is now sitting scared in the corner not having moved except for water... *sigh* I remember this with Glinda...)
