Right. Gerulf Reiger (he of the "biseuxal men don't exist" article) has sent me his original data, which is pretty sound of him, all things considered, although I did somewhat hint that if he didn't I'd put in an ethics complaints against him to the American Psychological Association. That is pretty sound. Interested to hear what you find.

(Slow that I am, I've only recently clocked that he was comparing responses to lesbian porn and gay porn. I can imagine a lot of straight blokes getting very angry at the suggestion that they're not really straight if they don't get aroused by watching lesbians.)

Was there a control group of people who get turned on by any kind of porn at all? And those that don't find it stimulating? Was his result that there are only gay, straight, asexual or omnisexual? And would that not make bisexuality not only inevitable, but much more reasonable as well? Who is this person anyway? Is he American? Sigh.

No, there wasn't. Those who didn't produce a measurable increase in circumference in response to any of the porn (1/3 of the sample) were excluded.
The conclusion was that there's only gay and straight who are/are not turned on by shit porn. No, they didn't consider any other options.

Dr-D - If you want another opinion on the data I'm on leave all next week and would be interested to see it.
