Oh if we're going to discuss word misuse can we talk about "theirselves". Also "alot" and "shes" caught my attention before I stopped reading.

Sometimes you need a couple's counselor and an editor.

Oops, misremembered, actually just the apostrophe for a contraction. Maybe that makes a difference.

there may be one, but AAVE isn't it. it frequently leaves off the possessive "s", but if the "s" is there, the apostrophe generally is too (see also, Langston Hughes, Richard Wright, Zora Neale Hurston, Alice Walker, Ernest Gaines, James Baldwin, etc).
