I've been thinking of deleting my journal. It just doesn't mean the same to me that it once was. Frankly, I'm tired of the drama. I'm tired of it ALL. I have locked down my journal ... I find the benefit of privacy. Perhaps you can make friends only posts and speak your mind without stressing over what someone thinks or feels about it. Each person is entitled to their feelings, thoughts and privacy.
