It's odd that the older one gets, the faster the years go. Mother mentioned that to me when I was young, but I'm only just now seeing that it's true. That's not a complaint, mind you. It's been a wonderful birthday so far

It really wouldn't. Classmates are lovely, but my family is more important to me.

Not a party at this age. Just dinner with my family. A lot of people do prefer to combine gifts, but that hasn't bothered me for years.

I'm eighteen now, so it would be odd if I wasn't mature about it. There are more important things than parties.
