Of course, she'd also happened across a fascinating ornament which she was still holding in her hand and examining when she showed up, so her "Hi" was a little bit distracted.

"Isabelle," he greeted, blinking. "Ah, what's the phrase? Happy holidays?"

She held out what she'd been holding in her other hand. It was a soft package, not too big but not too small, either.
"Here. Happy holidays."

He took it. "Thank you," he said. If he sounded wary, well, he hadn't thought to get... anyone anything. There hadn't ever been much of gift-giving at the Kenway house, this time of year.
He unwrapped it, trying not to think about the fact he wouldn't have been able to afford a gift anyhow. When the paper gave way, he lifted its contents, and-- "It's a scarf." He meant that in the best way possible.
Flipping it over made it clear this was one of great make. "It's beautiful."
