Professor, It's Time You Got Out Of There.

The new niece is still not here. I know a week over the due date - (what my sis-in-law is today) - is not that uncommon. Except that the baby dropped three weeks ago. And also like two weeks ago the doctor told her that she was 4 centimeters dilated and 30% effaced - (if you don't know what that means, be grateful that someone didn't explain it ( Read more... )

weather or not, the nephew, real life, the niece, family circus, x-men are hardcore hottie heroes

I actually got a snow day Friday! It was such a pleasant surprise... even though I think they called it not because of the snow, which was minimal, but in order to give people a three-day weekend for the Super Bowl. Heh. Still, it was a great lazy day at home, so who can complain about that?

AWESOME! I didn't think you ever got snow days! I'm guessing you are probably right about the Super Bowl having more to do with it than anything. But still...good day for you!

It was AWESOME. Quiet morning, back to bad while TAHtm was still sleeping, snuggled up and slept in. BLISS.

Also, I didn't do anything school-related until Sunday afternoon, and then, only for a couple of hours. :D

It's been completely insane! The snow has barely taken a breather all week too.

The weather has been nutty. I'm wondering if there might be another snow day this coming week as its been snowing constantly here. Though we haven't had sleet, thankfully and the snow has been pretty light stuff just a lot of it.

X-Men Uno sounds awesome, I want to play that and I'd love to try some Wii stuff when I come to visit as that also sounds fun. I love your nephew and hope your sister-in-law is okay. I think I was two weeks late when I born.

I wouldn't be surprised if school got called again maybe Thursday or Friday, but then again it may all wait to get really nasty until Saturday.

We just had that sleet on Sunday evening - (we were actually on our way out to Dad's for a visit and by the time we got there it was sleeting, so we just dropped off his groceries and turned around and left) - and then again on Monday morning. But the rest of the week, like you, it has been fluffy light snow, not in huge waves but still enough we have had to shovel every day.

I'd love to show you X-Men UNO! It's The Nephew's favorite. And we can totally break out the Wii too - we have a lot of games that are good for groups, like sports and that vacation game but if you also want to try some of the Legos stuff, J got the Lord of the Rings Lego Wii game for Christmas.

So far its all been fluffy here, cold and a little annoying but not dangerous. Though I did sleep in horribly late this morning because I stayed up reading the newest book in one of my favorite series.

Tomorrow is going to be busy as I'm doing research teaching partly in French and a meeting then next week is Spirit Week, which I think will be odd. My school is strange at about school spirit and it changes all of the schedules, so it will be an experience. I honestly wouldn't mind another snow day this week or next as while all the sleep I had this weekend helped, I wrecked it with two bad night's sleep. This winter just sucks.

This winter has kind of sucked, hasn't it? Just it feels very 'blah' and grumpy and man, do we need some sun or what? I actually spent all day on the couch with a stomach ache and just a general worn down feeling.

Spirit Week, huh? I'd be interested to hear how that goes at your school, what sort of things they do. My junior high school was really into it and I enjoyed it in fifth grade, did all the dressing up and stuff and then after fifth grade I turned into a grumpy teenager and wanted to punch anyone who exuded any sort of 'pep' at all. lol
