I feel like I spent too much time this year waiting on people to go places--I barely made any of the panels I was interested in--so I think next year I might try to restrict the hanging out to later on in the day/early evening.

SOMEONE OVER AT dw_cosplay POINTED OUT THE FACT THAT HE WAS WEARING A SUNFLOWER TIE AND I COMPLETELY LOST IT FROM AWESOME AND NOW I SORT OF WISH I'D BEEN WEARING A VATD COSTUME FOR EXTRA WIN.

It is indeed massive fun, although I have to admit a lot of the fun for me, the past two years, has been in running into people I first met (or saw around) in 2009. Oftentimes, wearing the same costumes. :D Are you not able to get to any of the cons in London?

All the plaudits for Idris really need to go to my mom, since she's the one who actually made the costume. We are quite pleased with ourselves over it. :D

I worship Dragon*Con. I'd wanted to go since I was 13 (finally got to go when I was 26) and some of the best people I know I met there. Plus it gave me the chance to MEET SYLVESTER FREAKING MCCOY and I never ever ever believed that would happen.

That's so pimp OMG. It's awesome you got to go and it was a great experience! I've been debating trying to go to an out of state con instead of SDCC, but I've never really traveled out of state before. :(

I'm afraid I can't give you any advice in that department; I've only been to D*C and TimeGate, which is a small Doctor Who/Stargate convention also in Atlanta. (Also SukoshiCon, which is a VERY small anime convention that seems to travel from city to city.) But I'd say if you did you want to go a major con that isn't SDCC, D*C would probably be the one to go to.
