Heteronormativity, Enforcing the Gender Binary, and Why I Never Want Gaiman to Write for This Show Again

I feel like I'm the only person who severely loathed and was offended by this episode--mostly because I know how popular Neil Gaiman is. Not offended because 'no everyone was ooc'-type stuff, offended on basis of gender and alignment and fairy tales and why does Gaiman have to take ideas I like and then do them so completely and totally badly I feel like my very soul has been violated?
