*Matt walks into a room. Then pauses, looking about cautiously, waiting to see whether he's been turned an odd colour, whether he's suddenly stoned, whether he's in video game, or whatever other bizarre trick the mansion might play.

Nothing happens. He takes a few more steps. Still nothing. Then, after another step, something happens

It's probably more freaky mansion shit. I don't think this place is run with special effects or whatever.

Heh. There's a lot of everyone figuratively-floating-around, I guess. You been here long?

-It's been a few days since he was in a fight, and the swelling on Mello's face has mostly gone down, but the bruises and black eyes are just starting to turn sickly dark with a yellowish tinge. He's on his way to the kitchen in search of ice, and possibly chocolate, when Mello walks into this room. He stops, glancing around - wasn't the kitchen just here? - and an ambling, vaguely industrial ditty begins to play. He listens, trying to place the song.-

Now where do I know that song from?

*ignoring the song, Matt takes a few concerned steps forwards towards Mello. Okay, so he probably doesn't actually know this guy, but... a Mello is a Mello, right?*

Jesus Christ, man, what the hell happened? Are you okay?

-Mello half-scowls at the question.-

Yeah, Matty, I'm fucking peachy. Got jumped in the hallway.

*Well, he's used to Mello scowling and acting hostile, especially when he thinks he looks weakened. Odds are it's the same with this one.*

When? You need anything?

[Hear the music, and is compelled to seek out its source. Though he only sees the other Matt, and blinks a bit in confusion. A few seconds later, something starts to play, though it sounds as if it were coming from an old radio.]

...the hell?

*Matt laughs*

Unless I was Michael Aday in another life and no one told me? Nuh-uh. But hey, who doesn't like Meat Loaf?

There's probably someone out there. I prefer dance-type stuff, myself, but I'm pretty open music-wise, so Meat Loaf's good by me. *a grin, which turns into a curious glance.*

*L pokes his head in, and immediately Still Alive pipes up. L looks relatively calm until it gets to the part with the cake.

It's from a video game, *he says, by way of explanation. As Still Alive finishes, another song starts up.*

That's one of the songs the singing room made me sing. *frowns, hoping nothing too embarrassing gets played for him*

*Matt blinks when he spots Teru - he looks sort of familiar, somehow. Despite having very little experience with them Matt does like kids, and he crouches down to be at Teru's eye level.*
