I was waiting for the subway in one station when I saw something that caught my eye.

I wonder, too. What IS it about anti-heros nowadyas? People are a lot more cynical now than I've ever seen them.

that's an awesome POV pekky! I've so often been driven to question the glamorization of the anti-heroes shown on everyday homely TV shows too! I don't think we are more in acceptance of our dark/human side, but it's merely bcoz we as a civilization are growing more & more thirsty for adventure and a sadistic adrenaline rush! If we were more accepting of our human flaws there'd be greater acceptance of and rehabilitation of ex-convicts, for example. I don't agree with the TV/film industry changing our value system just for profit, but TV has always been a strong mass-communication tool and this debate has been raging for a while now!
