"What I don't like is the fact that if I'm physically seperated from someone and they're not a digital type (or are but we had a relationship not based around digital interaction and therefore are never intouch over the internet), then I will never, ever contact or think about them. Even now while typing this it's mostly in a "oh, what a pity. *meh* Anyway, ..." way than as any sort of real regret or intention to change

For me when I'm around my old friends I instantly pop back into the groove. But when I'm not, I don't think about them at all. And it's actually more than just friends, the same goes for my brother, my step-dad, and my birth dad as well.
Oh, and I'm not sure if I'm a good standard of comparison when it comes to "emotionless freak." Or more specifically, I know I'm way the hell off from the norm when it comes to it, but I prefer my way, so if you're simply trying to be normal then it's bad, but if you're willing to try something that makes sense then go right ahead and compare/emulate me.
