51sk of yarn (a little over 13 pounds of the stuff) and six 4oz bumps of fiber and a 2oz leftover of fiber. In 2 days. That's a lot for me to get done in 2 days.
It didn't blend as much as I had wanted, and I didn't vary the method as much as I should have for the roving. I really do like how the mill ends turned out, better, but it's loose fiber. I'll have to take pictures when everything is dry.
I have *no* idea how any of it'll spin up, either. This is when not being a spinner is a handicap!
You seem to have gone heavily into the reds. Are they much better sellers than your other colors?
I'm working with "Miss Celie" (yes, I know you call it Celie, but I am calling it Miss Celie and so there) and I am finding that it mixes in spots, but that it looks nice wound up on the spindle that way. And I am spinning it in four sections, so that then I can make a four-ply out of it. I will tell you how it comes out.
The video was a hit with my dah-links. I brought Miss Celie with me and showed them how bright your yarn colors are and how to spin. They had a harder time understanding when you talked fast in spots, but they were interested in how you started your own business and how you are your own boss. They agreed that winding the skeins looked boring.
It was a seasonal choice. Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year are the same day this year, so I wanted to put a bunch of red up in the shop. And I like the really saturated bloody reds, they photograph well. The brighter version, I'm going to call Rose Red, and the deeper version is going to be called Poison Apple. :D
