Ax wasn't sure how he felt about this "Disneyland" situation, but he was rather pleased with his choice of a
home. From what he'd seen of this place, it was fairly short on large areas of grass, but he'd managed to find a decent supply that, as it so happened, was next to a small river

Never before had he seen another creature be able to shapeshift. He had almost been tempted to call this thing another homunculus, except he was the only homunculus that had the ability to shapeshift.
This thing wasn't allowed to have his powers. It wasn't. He stepped out of the shadows, arms crossed and looking more than a little annoyed. "Who are you?" he snapped.

He'd gotten to a mostly-human form when this human had discovered him, so he quickly finished the morph. "Hello," he said as politely as he could. It was so unfortunate that human voices betrayed emotion so easily--he could tell he sounded terrified. "My name is Phillip. Who are you?"

He finally draws attention to himself by speaking up, grinning a sharp-toothed grin in the creature's direction. "Having a problem, fucking shifter?"

He was practically surrounded, now.
not having a problem,> he retorted automatically, stepping back. These humans, in addition to being considerably calmer around aliens than seemed normal, were certainly nosy.

At least Hiruma doesn't give the impression of being hostile. Neither does he seem to worry if Ax is hostile. He is, as Ax had thought, just nosy as hell.
