Alright, really stupid question here.

I'm knitting a stripey scarf and I have no idea how to introduce a new color. Can someone tell me how or point me to a site with pictures? Thanks.

KnittingHelp.com is the site that helped me the most when I was first teaching myself. Under "basic techniques", click "more" and there are a couple of different ways she shows you. :)

Wow, that site is great! I wish I'd stumbled across it when I was first learning to knit, the videos are a -lot- better than the still pictures I had to learn from! Thanks.

it really easy!

1. get to the end of a row

2. cut the first coloured wool so it's not attached to the ball any more Leave about 3/4 inches spare of wool dangling off your scarf.

3. tie your second coloured wool onto the first one securly

4. carry on knitting as normal!

Yes, that's what I've done, but I thought it looked a bit sloppy because the knot shows. I'll have to try to tie it neater. Oh well, the scarf is a gift and a favour for a friend and he'd better be grateful to get it at all! ^.~
