[Hook clears his throat as he adjusts the camera.]

Ahem. Fellow teachers and students. While I appreciate the quietness Miss Fa's absence has created, I'm growing rather tired of the "Oh, she's gone, I'm so sad, whatever shall I do?" attitude most of you possess. Stop feeling sorry for yourselves. Carry on with your lives, as dull as they may be, ( Read more... )

An inadequate captain indeed.

[There are not words to convey the ice and anger in those four words.]

Watch your words, woman. Simply because I do not go to pieces over a student who has vanished does not mean I'm inadequate.

Watch your tone, Captain.

A proper captain shows proper concern for any member of their crew, particularly when an obvious lapse of security has allowed that member to not only disappear but for their absence to go unnoticed for so long.

A proper captain?

[This woman had presumed too much.]

If concern is so important, then why did it take a week for anyone to notice her absence? As much as you all seem to place so much value on caring and feelings, no one seems to give a damn.

Hook, you really must stop threatening the students. It is most unseemly for a man of your position.

Sometimes threats are the only way to reach people. And in this case, I'd rather see some lively anger than gloomy grimaces.

I don't know if you can call 'earnest concern for a friend' 'gloomy grimaces'. The rest of us do have hearts, you know even if you don't

The two expressions look awfully similar. But forgive me if I don't sympathize with your bleeding hearts. For people who seem to care so much, you didn't seem to be bothered until a week went by.

OHO, YOU ARE SO GONNA REGRET THAT. awfuladventure July 9 2010, 07:09:47 UTC
[Stay about our usual business, eh? Oho, Captain, you know not what is in store for you.

Peter scours the campus until he finds Hook sitting alone. Pulling out his slingshot, he loads a water balloon and aims directly for the pirate's oversized nose.]

Steady... steeeeady...

[Releasing the band, Peter watches as the balloon flies in air, wobbling with an ominous sort of doom in its spin... straight toward its target.]

[SPLOOOSH. Peter's aim had been true. Hook is sopping wet, and he is FURIOUS.]

WHO DARE-

[He looks around. No one. Then up. His eyes narrow. He begins his next phrase low and menacing, leading into a crescendo until he is yelling by the last syllable.]

Peter Pan!

[Peter's laughter is loud and belly-aching as he clutches his sides and slaps his knees.]

Oh Hook, you look all washed up! Here, have another!

[Peter pulls another balloon from the satchel slung around his shoulders and lobs it toward Hook, his laughter continuing as he watches it hurl toward him.]

[This time Hook sees the balloon coming, but his reflexes snap into action and he claws at the balloon with his hook. Again, Hook is drenched.]

Curse you, Pan for giving me this hook for a hand!

Don't you think that's a little harsh?

Maybe to someone who thinks that moping is a solution to this problem. I can assure you that melancholy only dampens the will to endure.

But there are other solutions besides shooting people.

[This man was already beginning to tire him, and they had only exchanged a few words.]

Just because I say I'm going to shoot someone doesn't mean I will. I find that threats work wonders on my crew's ability to conform to my wishes.
