He was tired from the long walk back from the beach, and broken hearted that he didn't get to fight the pirates.
Have a rather sullen looking child dragging his sword down the halls of Joe West, heading back to his room for a much-needed nap.]

She sighs miserably.
This morning simply continues to get worse.]

[Danny looks over his shoulder, and all exhaustion is forgotten for the moment. He wearily scampers over.]

[He looked about ready to cry. Danny grabs on to whatever she's wearing -skirt, dress, pants- and looks up at her.]

One part of her wants to yell and scream at him for going off on his own, especially all the way out to the beach! Yet another part is utterly grateful that he did do something that foolish. At least he had been safe from those horrid pirates.
He face pales at the thought of them.]
The...the pirates... t-they...
[She feels sick to her stomach just remembering them.
Plus it hits her right then and there that... Danny had been right.

[Somehow.
She sighs heavily. Those steps are going to be quite difficult, now that she thinks about it, and they're sure to take her a great amount of time to climb. But what choice did she have? Best to buck up and do what must be done.
Slowly she begins limping towards the staircase. She would take her brother's hand if she could, but she must keep her hold on the crutches.]
Come along now. Let's get going then.

[He walks slowly by her side, and lets her go up the stairs first; he knows he's tiny, but he'd rather make sure if she stumbled, he could help her regain her balance from the back. ...It made sense at the time.]
Awre you going to be ok with just you and the beawr in youwr room, Jawne?

She swallows a lump in her throat upon hearing her brother's question. She's not sure of course, but she couldn't possibly let him know. So she puts on a gentle smile.]
We should be fine.

[After all, Danny can do sooooo much for this situation. :|]

I'll be the one going to help you if anything should happen, Danny. So don't you fret.
