new year's resolutions
last year it was something like:
+ make something with letterpress (technically, through a RAW demo in march)
+ graduate (ba-BAMZIES)
+ figure out where I wanted to be by December (Portland, at least for 2011... into 2012. we will see!)
so, technical successes abound. this year:

I was sorting things at SCRAP and I realized I had no idea where to put the knitting patterns, but there was a huge bin devoted to "white stretchy nylon tubes!" also I used my volunteer hours to buy old book covers. -
I had to "zest."
I made cookies! -
fevered? real adults own thermometers.
I am a queen of lingering, not-real-enough-to-feel-legit-about-taking-time-to-heal symptoms. the aches and temperature fluctuations are back. I take complete credit for the nonsensical e-mail I sent my professor. left ear tinge, upper left throat complaint, left foot still a little gimpy after the brief owl fight. c'mon carroll, pull it together. For the last week and a half, I've had an auto-saved draft of an entry. it reads "draft". that's it. and it was apt.
a bundle of things are happening now, and while I need to read/finish the thesis word randomizing/take a nap, I leave you with exactly what you'd expect. -
