MWEEEE... ok so I've wasted my time with it, but I feel so much better for doing it. It's the first bit of design I've done in awhile and I think it doesn't half look bad.

I'm ranting about my Lj layout, I've completely changed it, well bar a bit of the colour scheme, or color; as amaricans like to make me spell it in html. So come over my Lj and ( Read more... )

As in those things you use for layout. You shouldn't, it's not semantic HTML, you should only use tables for tables of data and keep all design aspects in the CSS, away from the HTML. In other words, use a HTML tag for it's function, not it's look :)

oh, well obviously I had to use CSS as that's how you edit the lay out, I haven't actually added any extra tables or anything, infact I think I've more made some parts of tables redundent and hopefully lost them.... screw it, I don't care, it's just livejournal.

Although I do get what you mean and deffinatly agree now that my brain understands more of what CSS can do.
