Yup! "Reacting" is the important thing -- HOW you react is arbitrary!

Absolutely! The artists I know on Flickr just overawe me! And Lizzy in particular...

It's a beautiful photo. The picture reminds me of the town near to us. When you go there in the dark the whole place is lit up in the same way. I know that it is only a collection of mundane streetlamps and lit windows, but it still seems magical, like a brighter reflection of a starrry sky. You really do have a wonderful eye for a composition. Why don't you try photography yourself?

Yep, Gary, there IS real magic in photography. And Lizzy has has that particular "eye" that makes it happen. Oh, I snap some photos with my BlackBerry (big advantage: it stores up to 5,000 shots! I can download at leisure...), and a few have some interest. But I really am defeated by the next steps: getting them up on Flickr (or wherever), printing some, retouching, etc. -- that side is just uninteresting to me. I email a few to RL friends, but that's all I can handle... It's FAR more interesting to look at others' shooting and find the magic there!

Lizzy has a real "touch" for terrain like mountains! And she works hard to get it just right!!
