Trek: Don't miss today's Google Doodle, in honor of the 46th anniversary of Star Trek. You can click around on it for happymaking Trek sounds. AND! There are three progressive interactive doodles, which tell a wee story of Kirk, the Gorn, and one poor red-shirt. \o ( Read more... )

Is the Google Star Trek thing supposed to have sound affects? The animation works just fine, but I'm not getting any audio...

It does have sound effects. Try mousing over just to the bottom right of the doodle; there's a volume button.

Turns out that my ad blocker was blocking the audio!

There were some amaaaazing numbers this week on SYTYCD. I wasn't really feeling any of the dancers until these last two weeks and now I'm just really excited for them all. Cyrus was beyond adorable from the start - SO CUTE - but now I'm just loving the final four.

I had a hard time warming up to them all, too. Some of the early weeks' choreography was just dull, and then there was Mia Michaels famous dance recreation week, which was awful. It did them a disservice. But now that a) Twitch is back every week and b) the dance pieces have perked up, I'm back with it. *g* CYRUS! I can't believe he made it to the end, but I'm so glad! :D

Ugh, that Mia Michaels episode was dreadful, but things have been SO much better since then and I've really fallen in love with a couple of the dancers. Cheon has totally won me over and I had seriously *no* feelings for him whatsoever at the beginning. I love it when that happens. :) And oh god, Cyrus, I just want to cuddle the hell out of him. lol.

Augh, the Mia Michaels tribute. I agree that was terrible. Talk about setting folks up for a failure-by-comparison.

CHEHON!!! I was sad that Cole didn't make the final four. Did you read Chehon's tweet last night to Cole? OMG.

To Cole Horibe: Cole I am writing this message public, because I want everyone to know what a incredible artist & person you are. You have made this entire journey so much more special to me. After Daniel left I didnt think I would have another friend as close... Turns out that that asian boy who was the 1st person that I spoke to in Vegas was you. You encouraged me to believe in myself during Vegas & have never stopped supporting me throughout the show. I thank you for being yourself and that you respected me for who I was.

Your hard work ethics & dedication are just incredible and inspirational. You most definitely are the most dedicated individual I know & deserve a win in my eyes, but I think we can both agree that this is just a door opener to so many great things. Go do your Ninjathing & I better see you in the next martial movie! Who knows maybe well be in the same movie soon. I look forward to having you back in already a week & then of course to get back to our Cx2 NinjaBallet fun on tour. Stay who you are!

I am very curious to know what you would nominate/ask for if you were to do Festivids. For reasons. :D

Everyone I know loved 21 JS. All of fandom, and all the people I talk to IRL. I'm the outlier once again. I have never related to the dumb hero movies, tho - like, Will Ferrell's movies (except for Elf) just make me cringe and cringe, and this is along the same lines. That whole 'too stupid to live' thing. Not my thing, I guess.

Cyrus is amaaaaazing and I'm so glad he has made it to the top. Amaaaaaazing. :D
