The Mansion sits in silence, everything inside it coated in a heavy layer of dust. It's waiting. It's plotting. It had reluctantly released its captives for a while -- back to their native books lands -- but that was only to lull them into a false sense of security. Now it's back with a renewed sense of mischief ( Read more... )

He's been sitting on the sofa all evening, he sometimes comes here to think. Thankfully before the mansion decided to release people he had left to live in a house outside its domain. He's not expecting anything, really, just a few moments to himself, but he'd welcome conversation from any passerby.

*blink* --- WELL HELLO YOU. *have an Anitackle, Lestat* ... YOU. YOU. Where have you been all this time! I've missed you like mad!

*yup, it's a bit of a violent glomp, jus'sayin', even for Anita*

*stumbles a little and laughs rather furiously as he half hugs her half pats her on the back* I've been home, with my husband, my children. The better question, chérie, is where have you been?

Killing furballs, and getting in all sorts of drama, actually. With Henry and the others, of course. You have no idea. I'm dating your worse enemy. Though I think I might manage to make him not kill you this time.

*no joke, Anita's beaming*

*have a Loki, who has sparked in from somewhere or other, looking at the couches with approval* Okay, that's more like it. Do you know, I got here and none of them were on fire?

*rolls his eyes* Figures. That's a bloody waste of couches, essentially. Why have inanimate objects when you can't torment people with them?

I KNOW, right? *huffs* It's a terrible world, you turn you back for five minutes and not even a smoldering ottoman in sight. :(

Not even a smoldering person in sight.

*a small, neat figure steps in from a side entrance*

Well. This all looks horribly familiar.

*some people might label Amadeo expressionless, but he's wearing the vampire equivalent of an adorable little scowl*

Lestat get bored sitting on the sofa, eventually scanning the room when his eyes fall on a familiar face. He almost smiles, then remembers who he's looking at. Still his eyes stay locked where they are.

... You.

*takes a seat near Lestat, dust from the neglected sofa floating up around him in a cloud*

If I'm not mistaken, now is the time for comparison of timelines and assessment of how we currently feel about one another.

*laughs*

You're quite prompt, aren't you? Well, if you must know, I don't have a single reason to be all that fond of you, though I never have truth be told. *a pause*

And as for timelines, well I don't know quite how to respond to that, so perhaps you should start.

*having strolled through the grounds out of nostalgia, or some sense he might be missing out on mischief of some kind, here's a Henry wandering in with a still-lit cigarette*

Well. The decor, I fear, has not improved with age. I fear for the state of the residents.

I think it's quite charming! It all reminds me of my former Professor Slughorn, somehow; old, richly decorated -- *tilts her head* --and kind of droopy.

*quirks an eyebrow* My dear girl, "droopy" is generally not a quality to aspire to, for couches or for faces.

I think it works in this case. *sagely, as if it makes sense in the general vein of conversation* He's very good at turning into couches.

*Nemesis walks in, and stares at the couches. She doesn't sit, because she's a goddess, and, thanks to goddess powers, knows something is up.*

We're missing orange and purple.

*gives her a broad smile, entirely delighted to see her here* I suppose I could provide if you'd like, but I don't think I want to make them change people the way these might do. *might be more annoyed about the trick couches, but it's hard to actually get angry with Crowley's low-impact tricks*

*The couches are forgotten, because Hello, there, Meta.*

You. *Oh, yes. There's the traditional tackle.*

*just smiles again and hugs her warmly, practically clutching her to him for a second* Hello, Nemesis. It's wonderful to see you.
