*Without warning, a woman appears in the main room of the Mansion. She is an old woman - the air pulled back into a neat bun on the top of her head is completely gray - but seems not at all frail or weak. Arianna has found her way downstairs by herself and her attention is immediately captured. "Stories?" She appears at the woman's elbow and tugs on her sleeve. "What stories?"

[repetitus]

*In full performance mode* Oh, all sorts of stories. Stories about kings and witches and lost maidens and farmer's sons and woodcutters. All sorts of stories.

The small girl claps her hands together in delight and finds a seat on the floor. "Tell me a story," she demands imperiously.

Lynette stills. "Tape?"

[repetitus]

*The girl who approaches her is pretty, a good ingenue perhaps. A bit young, but there are plenty of parts that that's good for. Repetitius makes a mental note of that. If she wants to establish a group of Story Players here, she must remember such things.*

Not tape, girl. Stories. Haven't you heard of them?

"Stories are in the tape," she says softly, moving towards Repetitus slowly, as if inexorably.

Ah, but then they'd lose their power. Stories must be told by a Storyteller, or else there is no use to them at all.

A little blonde head appears over the top of a couch, watching her curiously. "Stories?" The little girl promptly runs around the couch and skids to a stop in front of Repetitus, where she sits on the ground and listens attentively, grinning.
