He's very noticeable in that he's not very noticeable, which is odd, because he's, you know, him. Apollo Acesius (only Acesius if a surname is asked for; it's easier than God of Music, Poetry, Medicine and Healing, Prophecy, the Divine Image of the Korous, Leader of Muses, God of the Sun, Olympian and part-time busker), looking more a modern mortal ( Read more... )

Harry happens along and sees him. "Hi... Are you a musician?"

Apollo looks up from his guitar, pulling his hair out of his eyes once more. The problem with being mortal is the fact that short, curly hair has recently fallen out of favor, replaced with a variety of hairstyles, most of which fall into the eyes. Which is sort of a pity, as Apollo rather likes his eyes. And himself. But that's a given.

"A musician?" Apollo laughs, his voice low and rich. "I suppose you could say that. More like... the musician." He tilts his chin up slightly. "Apollo Acesius. And you?"

He puts out a hand. "I'm Harry Potter. And ... erm... I'm not very musical," he gives him a sheepish smile.

Apollo props his guitar on his knee, extending a hand to grasp Harry's and reminding himself not to squeeze too hard, as he doesn't want to break any bones because that would be a horrible way to introduce oneself.

"Well, not everyone can be," Apollo replies lightly, returning the smile, though his is more Brilliant and Shocking than sheepish. Releasing Harry's hand, Apollo glances up from beneath his fringe of dark hair, which has already managed to sweep back into his eyes. "I could always fix that for you, if you like."

A attractive young man appears and gives Apollo an alluring smile. "Bonjour, monsieur."

Apollo glances up, rather shamelessly giving the youth a once-over (maybe twice-over, but who's counting?) before smiling and pushing his dark hair out of his eyes. "Et toi, garçon," he replies, his low tones reverbrating in an obviously something-other-than-normal-human-being sort of way. "And who might you be?"

"I am Denis, monsieur," he replies prettily, very much looking Apollo over as well.

"Denis... that's a lovely name," Apollo says indulgently, shifting his guitar on his lap. "Aren't you going to ask after my name, love?" He grins, somewhat coyly, although much more cockily than anything. It's just about impossible for Apollo to give a grin that is anything but cocky or bloodthirsty.

Armand is terribly curious. "Bonjour, monsieur." He smiles and bows.

He looks up, smiling at Armand's bow. Already rather liking the youth (at least, he looked young), Apollo tilts his chin up slightly, raising his eyebrows almost imperceptibly. "Hello. And what's your name, love?"

Armand blushes at the form of address. "Ah, I'm Armand St. Just. Who are you?"

"Apollo Acesius, known as Akesios, Iatros, Alexikakos, Apotropaeus, Averruncus, Smintheus, Parnopius, Culicarius, Medicus, Aphetoros, Argurotoxos, Articenens, Nomios, Archegetes, Klarios, Delphinios, Kynthios, Lyceios, Lykegenes, Loxias, Coelispex, Musagetes, and Nymphegetes, leader of the muses and god of music, medicine, healing, light, truth, and archery, bringer of plague, deity of the oracle and Olympian." He smiles winningly, having rattled off all (or at least, a large majority of) his names in a matter of time only a god (read: someone who doesn't have to breathe) could achieve. "But you may call me Apollo."

Apollo smiles at the sight of Ares's much more agreeable (in his opinion) sister, Eris, lady of dischord herself. "Indeed. When did you get here? Is your brother around?" Apollo has to stop himself from glancing around, much too paranoid about being in the presence of the god of war (or, as Apollo calls him, a big fat hunk of mean and nasty).

Eris grinned playfully. "I've been here for ages, sugar. And yeah, Ares's around somewhere."

Apollo laughs lightly, tossing his hair back with a slight jerk of his head. "Ah, well, haven't we all," he replies, slightly teasing. The sun god groans at the mention of Ares, leaning on his guitar. "Does he know I'm here? Don't tell him. In fact, tell him I've died. Er... gone away. Or that I'm still on Delos." He lets out a somewhat petulant whine, pouting childishly. "Why are the Fates against me? Did I do something to them in the last millenia? I can't remember, my head for all these grudges is shot to Hades ( ... )

Apollo jumps, holding back a forlorn sigh at the sight of Epimetheus. As if his brother, Prometheus the eternal jerk, wasn't enough, this hyperactive deity was also allowed to walk Gaia's green earth. "Hallo, Epimethus," Apollo says with a slight wince, holding his guitar almost defensively. "Where's your brother?" He doesn't add the and when are you leaving?, hoping it's evident in his tone.

Apollo frowns slightly. "Zeus unchained him? How... dreadfully uncharachteristic of him. How long has Promethius been--" and here he waves a hand vaguely "--you know. Up and about?"
