We'll assume that the kiddified!Jackrabbit has went away and here is a full grown Jackrabbit, baby in tow.

"Why? Beause I am a kid-binder, I love children."

"But why?"

"Because I cannot live forever. Someday the children will carry on. And besides, what joyous people they are!" Jackrabbit dandled the baby in his arms.

[dracoslytherin]

"Joyous?" He gives the baby a bitter look as if he was offended somehow. "What does it matter about someone else carrying on after you're gone?"

"I love children too. And I owe it to my parents to try to pass on the name."

[dracoslytherin]

"Can't you just... babysit?"

[sweariwontdie]

He laughs. "No, Draco. I have a nephew and a baby sister for that."

[dracoslytherin]

"So why did you want to have your own as well? I mean - for yourself - not carrying on the family name and all that rot." He sounds as if he's trying to understand a different point of view, rather than trying to be insulting.

[mad_leprechaun]

"Damned if I know." Sweeney shook his head. "But they ain't so bad."

"Not so bad? Honestly?" He sounds very doubtful.

[mad_leprechaun]

"Yeah, guess not. What's all this about, anyway?"

[dracoslytherin]

"It's just a question," he says, looking away with a slight frown.

[oldspacerbrat]

Jane snorts. "Vanity, I suppose."

[dracoslytherin]

"To have a little version of themselves that they can manipulate... you mean?"

[oldspacerbrat]

"Or to prove they can do better than their parents." She looks him up and down. "Or other people's parents."

[dracoslytherin]

"Ridiculous. I haven't heard a good excuse to be saddled with a little brat yet."

John shrugged, hoisting Eve into a more comfortable position on his hip, "Dunno, I never actually wanted them. This little girl was a bit of a surprise, actually. But I decided to stick around and now I'm madly in love with her. She's my baby girl, and I wouldn't give her up for the world."

[dracoslytherin]

"But what's the point of it?"

[_hellblazer_]

"I dunno, really. I think the original point was to pass on heirs. But I don't really care about that. But I mean -- how amazing is it to be able to say... I did this?" He kissed his daughter's cheek, "I helped make this. I'm raising her. This is me. It's incredible."

He scoffs. "That's over-rated. And egotistical. And you do realise that she is not you but she's herself?"
