Here are some things with Ju-ken on bass. Splitting files was done with hjsplit. Please let me know if there are any problems with the links or the files.
I'm lovin that icon up there. Where's it from? One other thing...do you know anything about the man that isn't on wiki which has barely anything? Where/when did he learn how to play the bass? He had to be doing something until the age of 27 when he hit the scene. How did he get hooked up with Heath? I'd love to learn more about him the person as well as him the musician.
The icon's from one of the recent GLANZ pictures (this one).
I wish I knew more about him. I don't know that much about his very early years; there might be something about them in his various interviews. I meant to go through the Monthly VAMPS interview and the 2010 Bass Magazine interview, but never got around to it. The Monthly VAMPS interview talked about when he started to play the bass (high school, I think); I started going through it a while back (transcribing to try to read with online translator help), but don't remember the details now. He usually starts with Heath, but I think he actually played with Kiyoshi before he played with Heath (this is late 1997). If I'm remembering correctly, Heath said that he took Kiyoshi's band for his solo work, but that still leaves the question of what Ju-ken was doing before that and how he came to their attention.
I love his bass there. Ends is one of my favorites. I had the DVD and loved it; I got it in part because Ju-ken played on it (and only started listening to Ends because of his participation).
I'm very glad to know him! Ryoichi Endo -for me-, is the japanese Jim Morrison. A dear friend of mine showed me his albums and I fell in love his voice. :) (By the way, he's a very pretty man. *Glory blushed*) Then came the next big surprise when I noticed that who played the bass on the stage on Total Tone DVD! :)))
