HAHAHAH I have no idea what you are talking about. But that is a really cool banner ( or whatever they are called )
FUCK THAT !! Gosh..that is really selfish of your countrys government. "this will help greatly with our image to the world" Dear dear dear..I've never been fond of your country...and this doesn't help me like them. I already thought that they sincerely wanted to help the Tsunami victims.
I believe they're sincere, it's just they don't seem to get how much this sounds like an alternative motive. They mention this insignifanct understanding so much that it comes off as so. its terrible and i wish they would cease the gloating of the "american spirt". these people suffering could give a two cent shit how wonderful our country is. At least i would assume so much.
i totally get you on the whole image thing. theres a mass disaster and its like, ohh lets do something good so the world can see were good people, its so selfish! it sounds like theres no sincerity behind it. i mean there probably is however i dont think theyve realised what their saying actually sounds like. =/ i dont even know if im making sense lol
I'm kinda pissed off about that too... can you believe Dubya donated $10,000? I heard of some lady from Chicago donated $20,000 paying with a credit card and the President of the United States can't donate more? I know it's the thought that counts too, but in this situation they need as much money as they can get and I'm sure he's not that hard up but whatever. It's a huuuge tragedy, and although I'm not saying that her story wasn't tragic and stuff, I'm sick of some of the media focusing shit on cute lil love stories (i.e. that supermodel) instead of the ugly things we should really be more aware about and trying to prevent such as women and lil kids getting gang banged and kidnapped. Uggh... sorry, I'll stop there :)
I didn't get to see that "supermodel" story but yea i know exactly what you're saying. Its exactly why the gravity which was felt on 9/11 when we lost 2000-3000 (don't know the exact figure) isn't really felt in this case. I'm like utterly surprised how... what would be the word? stale? all this feels. The reason why we can;t comprehend the number of deaths, the reason why we can't really feel this tragic situation out is simply because the media we're provided is so manipulated and censored. Last week i kept asking myself why is it this has yet to shock me far more than the days the towers fell? is that a good thing i'm not so effected since I'm across a mass of water? Does it help to carry over such a feeling if it doesn't need be? i still have yet to get an answer but i do know its fucked to only publize the good stories from those who survived and to suffle the stories of the dead. They're not just a number, this isn't just about a number
( ... )
you know what, i think you're right. Not that i believe in that myself, but it makes sense living in a country so driven by faith. Talk about god works in mysterious ways.
I don't usually go around all willie nillie asking for people to add me, but I saw you posting in the macdesktops community and read a few of your entries here and am going to add you back. any objections feel free to say "no, bitch."
