I saw a recipe on the cakecentral.com forums that was highly touted by many people, and it went like this:

1 package dream whip
1 small package instant pudding
1.5 cups milk

So heck, I gave it a shot. And… it tasted like Cool Whip and pudding mixed together. Nothing more, nothing ( Read more... )

I DETEST cool whip. Ugh!
Give me some good old fashioned non hydrogenated whipped cream!

I think you hit the nail on the head. Those that tried the recipe are probably the "oh, that's eeaaaaasy!" types that don't realize that you can make much tastier things with as much work or slightly more. That or "this is something you can probably do with things you keep in stock for the kiddies anyways."

Those that know better will largely steer clear.
