this is PERFECT. this is the most realistic take on their reunion i've read so far, and you wrote it in such a way that's goes straight to the gut.

She hadn’t wanted to know that. It was easier to keep him at arm’s length, to focus on her own pain and not think about everything he had suffered over the past year. It was easier not to wonder if he had missed her as much as she had missed him.

beautiful writing. i hope you do more, this would make a great series :D

I've read the other comments and I really can't add anything to them. This was just perfect.

Absolutely beautiful.

And since I didn't read the author notes until after I read the story (and yes, I do know the ones ot the beginning are there for a reason) I know have to go find "Invisible."
