A friend of mine swears the only way to eat the roe is sauteed in butter on toast points, but just about everything is good sauteed in butter with or without toast points.

I read your pea shoot entry with interest. We purely love pea shoots, but can seldom find them. Perhaps a trip to the new Whole Checkbook up the block is indicated. They'd go very nicely with shad.
