We stopped at Tintern Abbey on our way from Bristol to Hay-on-Wye as well. I found it very beautiful, though I'm not much of a Wordsworth fan, so I now faunch to see the one you found even more beautiful. The last time we were in Hay, we were there for Jo Walton's wedding which was such fun! There was the wedding, and parties, and books, and even a couple of program items, just like a con. One item was where we showed off the best of the books we'd found to each other. Hard to believe that was 10 years ago!

Apologies for the deluge of messages, but Kington? You were five miles from my parents. That is slightly surreal.

Oh, I love Llanthony Priory! (That's where I took the photo that became this icon.) And it was particularly lovely to read this entry today because you're describing exactly the area we're moving to next month. We spent today going to our favorite place in Yorkshire with a guest and I was feeling really nostalgic and sad and wondering if we were doing the right thing by leaving this beautiful area...but then I read your entry and remembered how beautiful that part of Wales is, too. Thank you!

And I hope you continue to have an absolutely wonderful trip!
