Trad English Folk Music enthusiasts, who love the Watersons, Ewan MacColl, Dick Gaughan, Jean Redpath et al. and list to this tale, of a young pinball wizard who just couldn't fail.  You won't be sorry.

I am finding this weirdly hypnotic.

They're fantastic, aren't they? I've seen them a couple of times at the Cambridge Folk Festival and they are killingly funny. I particularly like their version of the theme music from Shaft ('Sharpe. Cecil Sharpe...')

They're wonderful: tickets to see them tend to sell out in hours, but luckily they do quite a few festivals every year.

Oh, and here they are with 'Shaft' at (I think) last year's Cambridge Folk Festival.

Wow. That is an eerily appropriate mashup of my two highest volume posting friends on FB: the ukelele enthusiast and the English Country Dance teacher.

They are the best! Their "Wuthering Heights" is also extremely wonderful.

Oh, wait, here it is:

The sight of a whole audience chiming in on "Heathcliffe!" at the appropriate moment is worth a great deal more than the price of admission. Where have these guys been all my life?

I've been keeping an eye on their website, but they don't get to North America much; they played Carnegie Hall last November and I was sorely tempted to turn my life completely upside-down and fly to NY just to see the concert; they are THAT GOOD.

Oh, good; I was going to need to link that if someone else hadn't. It's brilliant.
