I counted--there were at least three footshots, but I think I missed one this time around.
Oh, the music. I also have to agree with the development thing--though, admittedly, I was very happy to see Kaylee finally getting any. From something that didn't run on batteries, that is.
The ion cloud and atmo both would transmit sound, methinks. I think Joss actually mentions in an interview that Universal wanted sound in space, so the ion cloud was his way of getting around it.
Unfortunate as it is... there were constantly sounds in space. Every scene, and not all of them were in close-range atmosphere (ie: the first WAS in that range) so... I think Hollywood got on his back about that bit.

I liked it better with no sound in space. Stupid corporate interests. Everyone knows the only sound that can be heard in space is score.

Wash was is my favourite character on Firefly. Wash/Zoe was the best romantic relationship on the whole damn show. Ack!
If there's a sequel, I'm still watching it though.
