I Went To The Moon

As many of you know I remember the first landing on the moon (I was 8), so loved the film Moonshot (pointing to icon)

As I told you, I went to the Cathedral last Thursday - well they have an exhibition there this month, called Museum of the Moon. It was stunning, hard to capture it on camera, but I tried.

Wow. Impressive and beautiful!

I remember the moon landing so well. My mother was convinced it was either faked or responsible for bad weather. I don't remember which ridiculous idea it was, but only one of many reasons we didn't get along well. LOL Fortunately, by the time of the moon shot, I was living on my own and had been for some time.

My Dad actually woke me up so I could watch the BBC. I then went into the back garden abd ended up chatting to the neighbours who were also looking up at the moon (although I was young enough to expect to be able to see the ship on the surface ... like in the cartoons!). Mum just thought we were weird to want to know about travel to the moon ... she continued to say that about my love of Sci Fi.
