Oh wow, is this the same story you were working on that you told me about? Because I love it--I turn into such a softy when House fusses over Wilson, and their entire exchange here is beautiful, with a great mix of both the troubling and the hopeful. <3

Yep, this is the story. As for the "House fussing over Wilson" theme, I'm a bit addicted too, which is why I've read stories of yours like "Inertia" many, many times over.

And I'm so glad you found the story troubling and hopeful, which is *exactly* how I intended it. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

I love this - it works really well. House looking after Wilson the way he did is just right, 'coded' statements and all.

Oh thank you so much... and for the *mems*. That just makes my day!

I'm a sucker for underhandedly protective House, and I'm enjoying the way the current season is letting them show so much more of what they feel for each other. I really need to stop writing this kind of story, but I'm just having a lot of fun. Thanks so much for commenting.

Like everyone else, I think that House and Wilson are very much in character. Dialogue is faultless.

Liked the part where Wilson calls House and just says, "Need you." That says everything.

I did a lot more dialogue with this story than I've dared try before, so I'm very gratified that you feel it works. The "need you" was a last minute addition so I'm very glad it wasn't too much.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. Means a lot.
