Every so often I run across a link to the CSS Zen Garden. It's one of the prettiest webpages on the internet in my opinion. When testing shell scripts, make sure you don't have it capable of (and actually partly designed to) turning your GUI off, when in the middle of something else. Or you have that capability turned off.

Has been dominated by getting stuff ready for college, studying a lot and being the ideal student.

Really I have gotten some stuff ready, but not nearly as much as I'd like, found a game, trying to organize things, and remembering that school starts soon.

I've been having weird errors with my hard drive. (Bad Checksum errors when transmitting data specifically.) It hasn't caused any data loss, but as I've changed the cable and the other hard drive hasn't had a single checksum error... I've been worried ( Read more... )

And now I sat down again... it happened again. THERE WAS NOTHING THAT SHOULD HAVE CAUSED THAT.

Fixed my system, from what happened due to me using my own ebuilds, and not those provided by the distro. (They were originally for KDE-3.1.9x (ie, pre-3.2)) Once I realized it was putting things into lib64/ and not lib/ all became clear.
