...is the click... click of my printer dying.

Plugged it in, turned it on (it has a fairly loud mechanical click when one turns it on. However, it then had a rather annoying and electrical sounding click. ... then nothing else.

I can print it off at school in the morning, but the loss of my (admittedly not-printing quite right) printer is

I have a spare laser priter about. Dec Laser 5100, acts like a normal postscript printer. Decent DPI, etc.
