Echidnas. They're such cute little spiky bundles, especially when they shuffle along. They're also quite short sighted, so as long as you're down-wind, you can get quite close to them, even pat them (carefully!). Also, they eat ants, which are among my least favourite critters.
32. My biggest pet peeves.
Rudeness, be it to me, my friends or to service staff. Everyone deserves the simple respect of politeness and I don't care what the attitude is, being polite to people is not weak. People running into me on the street, in the subway, at the supermarket... it gets old fast. People who get on the subway or off an escalator and just stop dead.
Hmm, tricky, since I do tend to change around... my current 'book I'll re-read a hundred times' is World War Z by Max Brooks. It's not even the zombies - I just love the worldbuilding in that and the myriad voices he's developed. Unusual story telling techniques are always a good thing for me.
26. What I'm doing tomorrow.
I got this last night, but I'll do it for tomorrow, being Thursday. Tomorrow, I'm attending the REACH conference all day, which is basically one of those 'for your career building' types of courses. It means getting out of the office and getting free food, so I'm good to go.
Right now? Far, far away from work, work email and work phones. And work people. ;) Probably on a beach somewhere warm. Let's go with a small Pacific island for a couple of weeks until my urge to kill subsides.
39. The nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.
This is going to sound lame to the person who said it, but... "I won't abandon you. And not just because you pay the rent and do the dishes."
Poor personal hygiene. I'm not fond of stinky B.O. and bad teeth. Rudeness. Contempt to others.
30. What I would do if I won the lottery.
Buy the Yellow Griffin pub from Maria and have Dex manage it for me while I got to be the host-type person. If it was a really big lottery, I'd also pay for a big party of my family and friends in Hawaii, all expenses paid.
Bi, although I've been essentially Uninterested for the past few years.
40. Whether I like where I live now.
I really do. I feel at home here in a way I don't very often, and I enjoy the life I have here. I miss my Aussie peeps and family, though, so they obviously need to build that damn teleporter faster.
