Goodness... I just realized that I've been in Memento Eden for over a year now. My, the time really has flown! It almost feels as if I ought to be celebrating my birthday, except I just remembered that it was actually back in September. I've been 31 years old for several months now and didn't even realize it.

I wonder what this year will bring.

Hee hee, it's funny you mention! The day after I showed up in Memento Eden, I woke up and left the library and found a big celebration in progress! It was so astonishing, the town had completely changed over night!

... Really? I didn't know the island was capable of sudden transformations like that. But I guess, if they can put everyone in costume, they can decorate the whole town too.

One-year anniversary and a birthday? I think that's good cause for a celebration, even if it's belated. What about you?

[Knowing X, he meant that in a completely innocent way. XD - Also, ffff, old enough to be Jaime's mom? In my view, not unless he's fourteen or something, and I'd be surprised if he was; he doesn't look it in the icons. And to yonder Ritsu, well, at least she's not seventeen or something again. I think the thirty-one's a refreshing-if-slightly-bewildering-at-first-flavored change. XD]

[Pff, Yomiko is very hard to offend, so long as you don't mistreat books! But yes, I pulled Yomiko from the ROD TV series, which takes place 5 years after the OVA and she is canonically stated at being 30. XD]

It wouldn't be. We would've thrown you a party anyway if we'd known, right? Besides, if the celebration's fun for everyone, I don't think you'll hear many complaints.

That's the only problem, though. I haven't done anything like this before, so I'm not sure how to make it work for everybody.

[Yomiko gets a slightly wider smile from X here, even if she can't see it.] On the other hand, I think I've already got the presents covered. I could even get something for each person coming to the party. You think that'd go over well? Maybe we can write up some invitations while we're at it.

It's true, people do enjoy a good celebration! And party favors are fun and I could help with the expense there! We could use the journals to let people know about it...
