Chromatic Re-Casting: Alice in Wonderland

I just saw Alice in Wonderland today and while I enjoyed it for the most part, it got me thinking of doing a re-cast much like chromatic re-imaginings of the past in other fandoms. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be one for Alice in Wonderland ( Read more... )

Those picks are made of win.

I would cast Takei as the Cheshire Cat, though, and Keith David as the Caterpillar. Something about the Caterpillar requires that beautiful gravelly David voice, and I can SO imagine Takei delivering the "Good bye... sweet hat" line.

oh lord--I actually *debated* for a while on who'd get the catepillar and cheshire cat roles. Takei has such a distinctive, silky voice that reminded me of Rickman's interpretation. it was a real tossup for me. lol
