Children and lazy mornings

Mm, I love lazy mornings in weird yellow satin pyjama pants and big marroon and black zigzag 80's cardigans. Contemplated leaving the shop to buy some orange juice a few times, decided that I looked too silly.
And sleeping in, after a 3am finish, sneaking extra minutes with people walking through my room, asking mum to bring in Zoe for a few ( Read more... )

or a mother?, lazy mornings, i hate wholemeal, harriet the spy, gunamatta girl, red coat, umbilical cords, bohemia, tiddas, first lazy sunday of the year, will i be an aunty?, pipe, miss golly, what shall i wear?, victoria's party, heirloom chair, wading in the sea, r and g are dead, writhing with gorgeous sleepiness, the mother mary, gatsby essay, so many things to do, lifted up by tiny hands

"Calloo, callay, no work today -
Weeeeeeee're cabbages and kiiiiings!"

Memorized it as a kid. :)
Also, when I was a kid I was convinced Sailor Moon really did live on the moon, and whenever it was full I would look really, really hard and sometimes pretend I could see roman-style columns between the craters.

I was clearly a little strange.

Added a bit more to this entry.

I remember memorizing a poem for year seven - We are the hollow men...

We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats' feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar

Alas! It was all google; the words, though still with me, have only left scratches in my brain.
I used to hate courier new. I quite like it now.

Hah, mental images of Julius Caesar, Carmen Sandiego cartoon version, curls of hair and sandals and toga and all, lunching and lounging on the moon. Doric and ionic...? Columns.
