MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

So, at 2:11 pm yesterday, I decided to get over my holiday funk and stop ignoring the existence of the holidays. So, at 2:11 pm yesterday, I went out and bought a Christmas tree. I forced convinced my father to come over and help decorate it while my mother (who really isn't feeling well) supervised. So now I have a tree. ( Read more... )

My mother's sole concession to exterior decorating at Christmas is a mailbox that says "Ebenezer Scrooge" on it, so I understand the feelings. *G*

Ignoring what sucks to concentrate on the festive is a great way to deal with it.

Go Read Fic! Yuletide is a wonderful thing.

And may your new year improve quickly -- maybe even here in DC.

Thank you! You know, I haven't actually checked out Yuletide yet (I know, blasphemy), but I'll have lots of time starting on Thursday. I'm still trying to ignore the sucking and just going about in a good (albeit oblivious) mood. I'm not unhappy the current job is ending. I just wish I knew what I was going to do ( ... )

Thank you so much sweetie. I'm going around in a ridiculously good mood even though my whole life is about to fall apart. Um... denial or acceptance, I can't really tell. *big squishy hugs*

Aw, yay! I hope Christmas can offer a bit of an emotional respite for you, at least for those few days. Think about family and holidays, give your mind a break.

And hey, you can leave that tree up as long as you want to (just, you know, keep it watered and don't burn your house down). :)

Merry Christmas!

Thank you! I'm being sure to water the tree every day so that it can stay up as long as possible. Yeah, and I think my mind needed a break, pretty desperately. Now it's time to focus again. Bleh...

Hope you had a great holiday and Happy New Year (looking forward to reading lots of stuff. Oh, and I am definitely going to do your AU prompt with lots and lots of angst. Soon... ish...)

I hope your New Year holds lots of magic for you, sweetheart. And, don't worry about the tree--my MIL keeps hers decorated and in the closet for the next year. I say go for it :) Lots of love and Best wishes!! Ali.

Thank you sweetie. Hope you had a great holiday. I think all the needles would fall off if I kept the current tree, but I actually love your MIL's idea.

I am, I am. We're thinking allergies are the culprit, so that's an easy fix as they're not serious. One allergy pill a day has me feeling like my old self. :)

And 2011 will totally rock for us. It r fact. I know because of my learnings. ♥ *HUGS*
