Don't apologize for GINORMOUS comments!! I LOVE them!
I can see why you might feel accomplished. This is very good work. Thank you!! :D
Yes, It did feel "where on earth did that come from" but I never said it felt inaccurate or didn't make sense. Cause it did. I'm so glad it made sense! I was thinking and thinking about these boys and that theory just seemed to, I dunno, click into place. Glad to know it works for people outside of my head. :) I'll look out for more examples now. If you want to, feel free to come back and share them here anytime! I'd love your insights. :)
Exited because of some of the ways you explained stuff and how I have have never found them elsewhere You made me all kinds of happy. :D I didn't really know if any of my ideas would be revolutionary or new, because I haven't read a lot of other people's things (I got involved in the fandom kinda late), so your taking the time to tell me you hadn't found them elsewhere really made me feel like posting this was legitimate. Thank you. :)
Oops, I ran out of room!daydreamblvr6September 22 2011, 23:22:05 UTC
Because if I love someone ans I know that I love that person with ALL my soul and body but unfortunately that loves not reciprocated, does it mean my love's not true? I may have used poor terminology when I was setting forth my argument there. True Love to me is 1) in caps and 2)the thing that leads to two people being married for years and years faithfully. Therefore, in my head, love can be true, but not be True Love. Aaaaaand there's more going on in my head about that, but it kinda confuses even me so I'm just gonna keep it to myself. XP But I think that I agree with this thought of yours: I think, that LOVE is an ultimate verb, it has different definitions and the most accurate one's the one, where both the person being loved and the person that's loving aren't taking unhealthy measures to profess or establish LOVE. at least to some extent. I think that has to be a key part of love, but maybe there's more to it. I dunno, I was pretty sure of my thoughts when I wrote this, but now you've given me a lot to think about

I also thought it was interesting how platonic and big brotherly Damon was coming across with Elena. Of course it's likely deliberately being played up by the writers in order to avoid having the characters get inappropriately flirty right after Stefan goes missing
But still I agree with you that I haven't seen all that much evidence of Damon actually being in romantic love with Elena. Even the scene from the season 1 finale was more about Damon appreciating Elena as a person and what she has done for him, Katherine was the one to turn his rather chaste kiss on the check into something sexual. It will be interesting to see how the writers can organically shift that friendship (and Elena's consistent devotion to Stefan) into romantic feelings
And I LOVED all of the season 1 call-backs in the Stefan and Damon scene. After feeling like focus on their dynamic got a little bit lost last season, it's great to see their intensity returning to season 1 levels

I'm glad the writers are handling this tactfully.

I can understand a lack of time, I'm actually just really flattered that you want to read it. *^_^* And feel free to take your time getting to it, it's not going anywhere. :)
