Some words I wrote elsewhere (very slightly edited), and would like to remember. I hope you find them useful as well ( Read more... )

I wrote something that resonates with this (alas, as always, in Portuguese), but for what it's worth, here's the automatic translation:

Hi Daniel! Thanks for linking me to that. It does seem like we are on a similar wavelength. :^)

Following up on your final question in your own post, I am one of those people who has many types of relationships, all at once. I still consider myself polyamorous, but some of my relationships have looked more like swinging, or monogamous marriage, or as you said, things that defy description or categorization.

And I had to laugh with you, at your description of the time spent in the FB poly groups as "not necessarily pleasant." Yes, yes, indeed. :^)

I'm not sure, of course, but I almost bet most people are in such multitudes of relationships - we, as people, are multitude, and constantly seeking new experiences.

It's just like your icon says: love *outside* the box. Boxing ourselves in a new box (pardon the redundancy) isn't love outside the box - it's just love in a new box.

Good thing that I made you laugh! Happy to know that. :)

Thanks, Daniel. That says it well. May I quote you on my blog?
